For someone who loves jeans as much as I do, it may sound odd to confess that up until a few years ago, I almost entirely wore skinny jeans – I realize how that sounds. It wasn’t that I didn’t like other styles, but more that I just never made enough of an effort to try them. Now, I can’t imagine a closet without at least six different styles of denim in rotation and plenty more washes on top of that. I guess I can say that although I’ve always felt most like myself when wearing jeans, my love for them has evolved greatly over the years. I think that’s one of the best things about fashion though, just as styles fade in and out, our taste is also very much in flux, and for me, it means embracing so many fun and unique styles that I never would have considered before.
For this look, I really wanted to go for a ‘70s vibe, and I felt like this adorable satin top definitely fit the bill. These jeans are currently on sale, and I can’t say enough about how comfortable they are even with a relatively tight fitted high waist.
Is there something you absolutely love today that you never would have worn a few years ago?

February 21, 2020 at 3:14 pmI need to start wearing my non-skinny jeans again. Only problem is I have to wear heels with most of them and I don’t really need to get dressed up much these days, haha!
