Among the small assortment of closet staples that I will typically wear all year round include denim, a white button down, and a comfortable pair of mules. Give or take a layer or two, these are three items that I have happily styled for every season, and continue to rely on when I need a structured yet simple outfit that requires minimal effort. Whether you prefer a minimalist look, or something more intricate and layered, picking out a few classic staples is the perfect starting point.
Current Favorites
The White Button Down – I kept it simple and affordable with my relaxed button down from Old Navy, but I also love this one for the v-neckline, and cropped sleeves.
The Denim – I had been searching for a pair of black denim culottes to add to my wardrobe this fall when I spotted these adorable cropped Levi’s. They’re not quite as wide as I had hoped, but I love the fit, wash, and button fly.
The Mules – Who else is a fan of Target’s shoes? I think I buy at least one pair from them every season, and continue to find both cute and comfortable styles each and every time. I recently purchased these mules, and for only $25, they are the perfect fall closet addition.
