Fall Style

The Weekend Trouser

I love a good pair of trousers; they are both versatile and sophisticated, and can be a great power piece to have on hand for any occasion. I recently purchased this high-rise pair from Banana Republic, and immediately fell in love with the tapered look, and comfortable, slouchy fit. Paired with a blazer and heels, they will stun in any office, but if you’re anything like me, you hate investing in clothes that can’t be styled multiple ways. Since I don’t currently have a need to get dressed up for work, I decided to style these trousers for a casual Saturday spent running errands around town.

As someone who tucks almost everything in, bodysuits are one of my ultimate staples, and you can’t go wrong with a simple black one like this for fall and winter. I decided to pair these trousers with my favorite denim jacket, but a moto jacket is another great option that would transition perfectly to night. Adding a sneaker to finish the look is one of the easiest ways to dress it down, and create a more practical outfit. I love these simple black Nike’s for just this purpose – their comfortable fit and classic style make them the perfect everyday sneaker, but if you prefer something a bit less athletic, a tennis shoe like this one is another fun option.

Whether you are back in the office, working from home, or simply looking for new ways to style old pieces, mixing and matching work wear with casual staples is a great way to refresh your wardrobe, and put together a few great, practical outfits that will look effortlessly chic with minimal investment.

Outfit Details: Bodysuit (sold out – love this option as well as this one), Denim Jacket (sizes are low – also love this option) Trousers, Sneakers (similar), Sunglasses (similar)
