Leopard Print Summer

Who else has been experiencing a heat wave these last couple days? It’s times like these when I wish I had a pool to cool off in or at the very least a friend with one! Instead I spent most of the weekend cooling off with iced coffees by day and gin and tonics by night. I am also fortunate to be spending this summer outside of a city, something that hasn’t happened for a few years. Many of my summer memories from years spent in Boston and Los Angeles consist of days taking multiple showers, at least three different outfit changes, and seeking refuge in coffee shops and other air conditioned businesses. I never thought of having a patio with shade and an umbrella as a luxury until living in the city, and now it something I will never take for granted!

I love styling skirts in the summer, and this pleated leopard print skirt from Abercrombie is still one of my favorite pieces. This week I decided to pair it with a white bodysuit for a simple, easy-to-throw-on summer look. For me at least, it has certainly been a leopard print summer and moreover, a leopard print year. It is a pattern that seamlessly transitions from cozy faux fur coats in the winter, to fun bicycle shorts, and adorable swimsuits for summer.
